When planning your family holiday to Spain, there are so many options and considerations that you need to think about. Having something to keep the whole family entertained is incredibly important - why spend your well earned money on a holiday where one or more of your party is left disappointed?! There are some great theme parks in Spain that offer a wide variety of attractions for every taste, Terra Mitica in Benidorm is one of them.
Benidorm is on the Costa Blanca on the South West coast of Spain. Long thought as a playground for the British, the area continues to be a thriving and busy area. Both Aqualandia and Terra Mitica are both Benidorm parks, found in the local area in addition to a great number of hotels and incredibly popular beaches.
PortAventura theme park on the other hand can be found in Salou, on the Costa Dorada. Alongside the theme park itself, there is also PortAventura Aquatic Park – recently rebranded as the Costa Caribe Aquatic Park. This is great because the two parts are adjacent to one another meaning you do not have to pay transport costs and if you stay in one of the onsite hotels at PortAventura theme park you can benefit from not only free entry to the PortAventura park itself, but 3 days entry to the Costa Caribe Aquatic Park too (restrictions apply).
Just an hour away from Benidorm, the PortAventura theme park offers visitors a wide range of attractions to choose from, including more for the thrill seekers of the family compared to Terra Mitica. The most adventurous of the family are dared to ride Shambhala – Europe’s tallest roller coaster and a mean feat. For the younger members of the family, the Sesame Street themed SesamoAventura area is entertaining and is has rides for even the youngest to enjoy.
